June 7 National Trails Day

In conjunction with the US Forest Services, Snowshoe Mountain is hosting National Trails Day. A Fitness Fair, trail running, orienteering competitions, demostrations exhibits, nature hikes, trail projects and more highlight this great event.

June 12-15 NORBA National Championship Mountain Bike Series Race

One of only four NORBA sanctioned National Championship races in the country. This four day event draws more than 2,000 professional and amateur competitors to the mountain to compete in cross country, dual slalom, mountain cross, short track and downhill events. Live entertainment, a huge vendor expo area and world class mountain bikers make this a great spectator event.

June 28-29 24 Hours of Snowshoe

The country's largest 24-hour mountain bike relay race, attracts more than 10,000 spectators and racers to witness and compete around the clock in what has been described as one of the worlds most grueling, yet fun 24 hour relay events ever produced. For more information go to www.grannygear.com

July 4th Independence Day Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day at Snowshoe Mountain and enjoy an all American Cook Out, plenty of great activities for the kids, Village events, bluegrass entertainment and a spectacular mountaintop fireworks display.

July 11 Mountain Stage

The world-renown syndicated radio show, Mountain Stage is performing live atop Snowshoe Mountain in one of the most scenic settings in West Virginia. From the Snowshoe main stage overlooking the Allegheny Mountains, you'll enjoy a variety of nationally recognized and up and coming entertainers.

July 12 The 11 th Annual Fire on the Mountain Chili Cook-off

Recognized for years as one of the largest and best cook-offs in the country, the Fire on the Mountain Chili Cook-off reaches new levels this year as we offer a 10,000 first place prize for best chili. Live entertainment, family fun, arts and crafts and plenty of chili tastin' from some of the East's best chili cooks make this one of the best events weekends of the year.

July 17 - 20 Snowshoe Freedom Fest West Virginia's Motorcycle Rally

The perfect week for the motorcycle enthusiast, all brands welcome. Bike shows, live entertainment, great times with friends and some of the best mountain road touring in the East make this rally one not to miss.

July 25 - 27 The Taste of the Mountain Wine and Jazz Fest

Wines from throughout the world and chefs from throughout the state join together under the Grand Tasting tent. Highlighted by fantastic Jazz entertainment on the Snowshoe main stage. The event is filled with wine seminars, arts and crafts and many family activities.

July 31 - Aug. 3 Snowshoe Institute

This four day event is a Celebration of the best of human endeavors. Seminars and workshops in music, history, writing, theater and much more. This event will be highlighted with concert performances and guest speakers.

August 1 - 3 The Snowshoe Symphony Festival

The cultural event of the summer. The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra brings inspiring classical music to the scenic mountains of Snowshoe. Enjoy unique theme dinners, concerts performances under the symphony tent, gourmet dinners, arts and crafts and many others social events.

August 14 - 17 International Bowhunters World Championships

This world championship event attracts more than 1800 bowhunters and archers from around the world to compete for the title of World Champion. Vendors, family entertainment and spectacular events highlight this special week.

Aug. 30 - Sep. 1 Snowshoe's Labor Day Celebration

The final fun and affordable family vacation of the Summer. Enjoy family entertainment and scheduled activities.

September 6 Mayhem in the Mountains - The Snowshoe Downhill

Snowshoe invites racers from throughout the country to compete in the second annual Mayhem in the Mountain's Snowshoe Downhill on Saturday, September 6th. Described as one of the top downhill courses in the east. The Snowshoe Downhill will give amateur and pro racers a chance to race the downhill course chosen for the NORBA National Championship Mountain Bike Series Downhill event.

September 11 - 13 WV Harley Owners Group Motorcycle Rally
